On 30 April 2022, a seminar followed by a DAN examination will take place at the Schozachtalhalle in Ilsfeld, with the motto ‘Shito-Ryu meets Goju-Ryu’. The seminar will begin with a kata and bunkai training session led by Shihan Athula Minithanthri. This will be followed by a kobudo training session led by Sensei Joachim Wursthorn, who will demonstrate how to use the bo staff to the participants. After lunch, Hanshi Tokio Funasako will lead a Goju-Ryu karate training session. Following a brief intermission, Shihan Athula Minithanthri, Hanshi Tokio Funasako, Sensei Jutta Fojkar and Sensei Joachim Wursthorn will conduct the DAN examinations for the DKV Shito-Ryu.
Participation in the seminar will extend the KVBW Shito-Ryu examiner licence. Refreshments will be provided throughout the seminar.
