First kyu exam 2026 a complete success

On 22 February 2026, the first kyu exam 2026 of the year took place in the Langhans Sports Hall in Beilstein for the Dhammika Karate-Do dojos Abstatt, Beilstein, Besigheim, Ilsfeld and Kirchheim am Neckar. On this day, many karateka faced the challenges of achieving the next karate kyu belt level, and did so with great success.

Excited and focused atmosphere at the kyu exam 2026

Even before the start of the kyu exam 2026, there was a positive yet focused and motivating atmosphere in the hall. Children, teenagers and adults had been preparing intensively for this moment for weeks. Many were therefore feeling tense when the examiners welcomed the participants and officially opened the exams.

The comprehensive exam programme

The exams began with a targeted warm-up programme to promote fitness and flexibility, ensuring that the warm-up prepared everyone optimally for the individual sections.
After that, the examiners assessed basic techniques and partner exercises, followed by self-defence techniques. Next came kata (forms) and kumite (partner exercises).
Depending on their grade, the examinees demonstrated their skills at different levels of performance. The precision of the techniques, clear body tension, and respectful interaction with each other were particularly impressive – values that play a central role in karate.

The youngest participants impressed with their commitment and discipline. The more experienced karateka demonstrated powerful techniques, precise execution, and tactical understanding in kata and kumite. Despite the scrutiny of the examiners, everyone remained calm and focused.

Joy over new kyu grades

By the end of the exam, all participants were delighted. They had passed and received their new grades. Parents, trainers, and fellow competitors expressed their appreciation through applause and recognition. As a result, the strong sense of community among the dojos became especially clear.
