Once again, there are numerous Dhammika Karate-Do events scheduled for 2026. The first event is the kyu belt test, which will take place on 22 February 2026 in Beilstein for the DKD dojos in Beilstein, Ilsfeld, Abstatt, Kirchheim and Besigheim. Separate dates for the other dojos’ kyu exams will be set and announced during training in due course.
These will be followed by the Dhammika Kids Cup on 22 March 2026 in the Langhans Sports Hall in Beilstein. The respective trainers will inform the karatekas and/or their parents about this during training.
On 28 March 2026, the Dhammika Karate-Do branch in Amorbach will be holding a self-defence course for children, under the motto ‘Defend yourself, but do it right!‘. Oxana Traiber and Shihan Athula Minithanthri will be the two course instructors, with Sensei Oxana leading the self-defence session for children. Over the past few months, Oxana has developed and tested an extremely effective self-defence concept to help children avoid becoming victims.
Four weeks later, the 2nd BKB Shito-Ryu Day 2026 will also take place in Amorbach, powered by the Bavarian Karate Federation and organised by DKD Amorbach. Sensei Oxana Traiber and Shihan Athula will introduce advanced Shito-Ryu techniques and teach the katas ‘Itosu Rohai Sandan’ and ‘Shiho Koshokun’, along with their corresponding bunkai. There will also be a session for children on ‘Athletics, Kumite & Creative Movement’ to promote coordination and motor skills.

A particular highlight will be the guest of honour, Soke Yoshiaki Akira Sato. Recognised as one of the most prominent figures in the field, he will lead the event in Beilstein, sharing his expertise and technical understanding. He will also sit on the DAN exams board. Further information will follow shortly!
The International Dhammika Cup will mark the end of the calendar year. The 25th edition of the traditional tournament will take place on 21 November 2026, as usual, in Beilstein. Save the date!
