On Sunday, 12 February 2023, karate exams were held for all those who had been recommended by their trainers. Even though it is clear that belt exams are not the most important thing, their significance for motivation cannot be denied.
The examiners, Shihan Athula, Sensei Jutta, Sensei Melike and Sensei Dominik, were particularly pleased that, this time, more than 60 children and two adults had received recommendations from their trainers and met the strict requirements of the examination programme.
They were also delighted that all of the candidates were well prepared thanks to their hard work in training. The examination programme required precise techniques, fixed partner exercises and efficient self-defence. Participants also had to demonstrate their knowledge of kata (forms of movement) and kumite (free fighting).
However, it was worth it, as all the candidates passed. Congratulations to everyone on this fantastic result!
