Nine-year-old Laura P., who trains at Dhammika Karate-Do Abstatt, took part in the kata discipline at the 15th Konstanz Cup in Konstanz on Lake Constance last Saturday, 8 July 2023. This tournament is aimed at beginners and newcomers, and a total of eight girls competed in the ‘Girls, 8–9 Years’ category, demonstrating set techniques. The competition was held using a knockout system with a flag system.
Setting her sights on the prize, Laura improved with each round, advancing to the final with three consecutive wins and not a single dissenting vote. She put in a strong performance in the final too, securing first place.
