Last Saturday, 25 January 2020, this year’s KVBW trainers’ meeting took place in Laupheim with several hundred karatekas. As part of this event, Shihan Athula Minithanthri, the KVBW’s Shito-Ryu style referent, not only performed the kata Tomari Bassai, but also received a very special honour to his surprise. In recognition and appreciation of his special sporting achievements and services to the association, Shihan Athula was awarded the certificate of honour and silver badge of honour by the KVBW (Karate Association of Baden-Württemberg).
