Violence against women – not with us! This is one of the mottos of the karate section at SC Ilsfeld. To reflect this, they are running a self-defence course specifically for women on 7 May 2016. Every day, women are exposed to various forms of violence: from catcalling and harassment to coercion and physical violence. The aim of this course is to empower women so that they know how to defend themselves through self-assertion and self-defence.
Shihan Athula, formerly a bodyguard and trainer of airport security personnel, will lead this course and teach the participants.
