2nd BKB Shito-Ryu Day 2026: Our Partner Club Invites You to Amorbach

This year, our partner club in Amorbach, Lower Franconia, Bavaria, is hosting the 2nd BKB Shito-Ryu Day. The Shito-Ryu style seminar is organised by Dhammika Karate-Do Amorbach and promises to be another successful training event.

On 25 April 2026, karateka of all ages and abilities will come together at the Parzivalhalle in Amorbach to train, learn and be inspired, with something for everyone.

The seminar offers a diverse programme ranging from advanced kihon to kata and bunkai. There will be a special focus on the kata Itosu Rohai Sandan and Shiho Koshokun, which combine technique, dynamics and application of space. Children will also benefit from a varied training programme including athletic exercises, kumite and creative movement.

Shihan Athula Minithanthri (8th Dan DKV) will lead the seminar as the main instructor. He has international experience in kata and kumite. He is also the Shito-Ryu style representative in the KVBW and a technical advisor for Shito-Ryu in the DKV. Shihan Athula will be supported by Sensei Oxana Traiber, head coach of Dhammika Karate-Do Amorbach.

After the seminar, a joint meal has been organised, providing an ideal opportunity to exchange ideas and enjoy a relaxed end to the day.
