It’s that time again! On Saturday 22 November 2025, the Langhans Sports Hall in Beilstein will play host to the 2025 International Dhammika Cup, showcasing traditional karate and kobudo in Baden-Württemberg.

This event is organised by the Japan Karate-Do Dhammika-Ha Shitoryukai (JKDS) in collaboration with the Satokai Germany karate association. With a tradition spanning almost 25 years, the tournament is one of the highlights of the karate competition calendar.
Shihan Athula summarises the Dhammika Cup as follows: “We are proud to inform our International Dhammika Cup is developing year to year very strongly. Our main purpose to share the karateka knowledge with all the members and their trainer through participating our Dhammika Cup. We always wants to do our best service to all the attendance to improved their karate-Do. Therefore we would like very much all of your commence
after participating this event. Traditional Karate-Do is a massive field for some to learn their life time. But Participating in a tournament is a part of karate do. Its shows your self confidence, flexibility, discipline, respect to each other, etc. Also it is a kind of meditation. Because once you are step in to tatami your concentration is only about that 3 minutes to do your best. Your focus and concentration during this very short time is unbelievable.
So it all about the part of meditation to keep your mind and body in to one goal. So I wish all the competitors as well as coaches and every one here today have a very enjoyable day sharing with us 24th International Dhammika Cup.”
We are looking forward to an exciting and fair day of competition, full of technical precision and sporting encounters, with an international atmosphere.
