What does Dhammika mean?

Dhammika is a Buddhist word from the Middle Indo-Aryan Pali language and means ‘the righteous’ or ‘the virtuous’. It is often used to describe someone who is righteous, moral and just according to the teachings of Buddha.

In the context of karate, Dhammika Karate-Do symbolises the karate of a karateka who is in harmony with both himself and nature and, as a righteous person, not only knows human values but also lives them with every fibre of his body and mind.
