Successful dress rehearsal: Several placings at the Regio Cup in Langenau

On Saturday, 21st September the last Regio Cup of the year took place in Langenau. Once again some young talents from our dojos took part, who wanted to use the last Regio Cup of the year as a final test for the upcoming Baden-Württemberg State Championships. Participating only in the kata category, the Karate Kids had a successful dress rehearsal with 4 podium places and confirmed their previous results at the previous Regio Cups.

Tom Landsperger from the Kirchheim Dojo may not have been as fit as usual or as healthy as he used to be, and unfortunately he was unable to reward himself with a place on the podium this time, but that should in no way detract from his performance. As always, he went to the tatami and did his best. That’s what counts in the end.
We were very happy for his sister Mia Landsperger, who competed in the category “kata female, U12”. As in previous tournaments, she showed great kata performances at the Regio Cup in Langenau and was able to make a great third place and win bronze.
In the category “kata male, U12”, there was once again a Dhammika only final after both starters Luke de Silva and Emilian Wezel made it to the final! In this final, Luke triumphed over Emilian. Both were rightly delighted with their gold and silver medals. Naemi Riedl also had a great competition day. In the category Kata female, U14 she kept the upper hand in the round-robin-mode and won first place in the end!

We are very happy for the children and congratulate them on their achievements and successes.
