Successful double event for Dhammika karatekas in Heilbronn

On 5 July 2025, numerous karatekas came together for two events in Heilbronn-Neckargartach. The newly reformed Regio Cup Elite, for competitors born between 2008 and 2015, and the 1st KVBW Seniors & Para-Cup, for senior and para-karate competitors, took place simultaneously there.

DKD Kirchheim karatekas were successful at the Regio Cup Elite

Seven Dhammika karateka took part in the Regio Cup Elite: Emilian Wezel, Naemi Riedl, Mia Landsperger, Emma Kühn, Aurelia Gardt, Suela Hoxha and Abduallah Samid. Emilian competed in the U12 Kata Male category, winning the round-robin group. Mia and Naemi, who also train at the Kirchheim dojo, competed in the U14 category. Another young talent, Pattida Kim Sae-Tan from Karate Dojo Kazuya Sasbach, also took part in the same category. Both Mia and Naemi made it to the pool finals. Ultimately, Mia and Naemi won third place and the bronze medal thanks to their strong performances.

Karatekas from DKD Abstatt held an internal club final

Emma and Aurelia, who both train at the Abstatt dojo, performed well too. In the ‘U12 Kata Female’ category, they both won their respective fights, ensuring an internal club final. Emma secured first place, winning the gold medal, while Aurelia took home the silver. Aurelia was delighted with her silver medal. Suela, who also trains at the Abstatter dojo, was competing in a tournament for the first time. She performed strongly in the ‘Youth, Kata Female’ category. Despite strong competition, she finished third and won the bronze medal.

SC Ilsfeld karateka Abduallah wins silver

Dhammika karateka Abdullah, from SC Ilsfeld, also took part in the Regio Cup Elite. Competing in the ‘Juniors, Kata Male’ category, he performed very well. He won his pool group convincingly and clinched his spot in the final by winning the semi-final. There, he was defeated only by the multiple state champion, Joel Bracher. Nevertheless, Abdullah was happy to take second place and win the silver medal.

Oleg won gold at the 1st KVBW Seniors & Para Cup in 2025

Oleg Osijuk, a karateka from Dhammika Karate-Do Amorbach, also took part in the event. The club’s kumite coach competed in the ‘Seniors +30, Kumite Male (-80 kg)’ category. Oleg made his claim to a place on the podium clear right from the start. Having been well-prepared by his coach, Christian Bonsiep, he defeated his opponents and took first place with his great performance.

Congratulations to all the Dhammika karatekas on their achievements, and thank you to their coaches.
