Over 60 children passed their belt test!

On July 23, 2023, shortly before the start of the summer holidays, 64 children from Dhammika Karate-Do had to go all in for the last time and, after a long and intensive preparation period, face the high demands of a belt test.

The children had to complete a examination programme and demonstrate their skills. The three pillars of karate-do were tested: kihon (basic school), kata (running forms), bunkai (external application of kata to check understanding of a kata) and kumite techniques. In order to do justice to the large number of children from the beginner groups during the examination, four examiners – Shihan Athula, Sensei Jutta, Sensei Melike and Sensei Dominik – were on site so that nothing could be missed.

The children were highly focussed and well prepared when performing the exam exercises and rightly passed the exam for the next Kyu grade.

We congratulate all the children on passing their belt test and wish a relaxing summer holiday!
