Overview of the katas we practise
Dhammika-Ha Shito-Ryu Kai Katas
We practise Shito-Ryu Karate-Do and train the Shito-Ryu Katas as part of our training. A kata is a form of exercise consisting of stylised fights against mostly imaginary opponents. Bunkai exercises are an exception to this. The execution of a kata is defined in detail. They form the central part of training in traditional karate-do.
