Dhammika karate athletes successful at the State Championships for kids and cadets

On 12 October 2024, the KVBW state championships for kids and cadets took place in the Nibelungenhalle in Walldürn. Six karatekas from Dhammika Karate-Do took part in the Baden-Württemberg Championships: Aurelia, Mia, Emma, Tom, Emilian and Luke. The karate kids, who competed in the kata category, showed some impressive performances.

With a total of four podium places and six placings in the top 5, the young talents from Dhammika Karate-Do achieved a great result overall, including Aurelia R. from the Abstatt dojo winning the state championship. Luke also made it to the final thanks to a great performance, but lost there by a narrow margin and was delighted with the silver medal. Tom and Emilian narrowly missed out on a place in the final, but were both happy to win bronze medals. Mia and Emma also did a great job. Mia, who has not been in karate for long, showed with her performance and her narrow defeat for third place that she is not too far behind her competitors. Emma also showed that she can compete very well and was very close.

Unfortunately, Naemi, one of the favourites for the title in her age group, had to cancel at short notice due to illness.

Overview of the placings:

1st place: Aurelia
2nd place: Luke
3rd place: Tom and Emilian
5th places: Mia and Emma
