State Championships 2024 in Eppingen, Germany

On 2nd March 2024 this year’s state championships of the competitive class took place in Eppingen. Three of our karatekas, Julia and Kiet Nguyen from Dhammika Karate-Do Kirchheim am Neckar and Philipp Klemm from Dhammika Karate-Do Abstatt, took part in this tournament.

As in previous years, Julia competed in the Kata discipline and once again she showed strong performances. Unfortunately she was not able to beat last year’s winner in the fight for third place and finished 5th. In the same category, Liliana Florido Martins from Shinbukai-Dojo took a strong second place and thus secured her ticket for the German Championships. Julias brother Kiet took part in a national championship for the first time after a break of several years, but not in the kata discipline, which he has won several times in the past, but in kumite, both in the individual and team categories. Philipp Klemm also competed in the kumite discipline (+84 kg) and, like Kiet, he finished in a great 3rd place. Both made their ticket for the German Nationals. Both also fought in the team competition together with their friends from the Shinbukai Dojo in Ettenheim. Together they could also celebrate a 3rd place in this category.
